Great Eastern Shipping Company has contracted to buy a secondhand Very Large Gas Carrier of about 84,048 cbm on 19 December 2025. The 2015 South Korean built vessel is expected to join the Company's fleet in Q4 FY26.

The proposed vessel will be financed entirely from internal accruals. The purpose of the acquisition is expansion of the fleet.

The Company's current owned fleet stands at 40 vessels, comprising 26 tankers (6 Crude Carriers, 16 Product Tankers, 4 LPG carriers) and 14 Dry Bulk Carriers aggregating 3.32 Mn dwt. The Company's current capacity utilization is close to 100%.

Kajaria Ceramics announced that Dilip Kumar Maliwal, Chief Financial Officer of Kajaria Bathware, a wholly owned subsidiary (KBPL) of the Company found to have committed a fraud over a period of last two years by way of embezzlement and siphoning of funds of Kerovit Global, a wholly-owned subsidiary (‘WoS') of KBPL, which is a step-down WoS of the Company. The estimated amount of fraud is Rs 20 crore.

KBPL has filed a compliant with the police and terminated Dilip Kumar Maliwal from the service of KBPL.

The board of Shriram Finance at its meeting held on 19 December 2025 has approved raising up to Rs 39,617.98 crore from MUFG Bank (investor), a company incorporated under laws of Japan, by way of issuance of 47,11,21,055 fully paid up equity shares of face value of Rs 2 each at a price of Rs 840.93 per subscription share, through preferential issue on a private placement basis. The subscribed shares to be issued and allotted by the company and subscribed by the investor shall represent a minority investment of 20% of the post-issue share capital of the company on a fully diluted basis. Upon completion of the transaction, the investor will be classified as a public shareholder of the company.

Gujarat Ambuja Exports has successfully commenced commercial production at India's first maize starch–based fermentation plant for the manufacturing of Sodium Gluconate, with an installed capacity of 30,000 TPA. The said facility is located at Hubli, Karnataka, and commercial production commenced with effect from 19 December 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m.

The commencement of commercial operations at this facility represents a significant milestone in the Company's strategic expansion into maize fermentation–based products. The Company plans to further scale up capacity in this maize fermentation–based products by introducing additional products and aims to achieve an aggregate installed capacity of 1,20,000 TPA by the year 2028.
